Tulip Branches

Since the rain has stopped we can see what good it has done! Our flowers have been watered. Soon you will see the lilacs and tulip trees bursting out of their bud cocoons! Chicago has already been bursting with beauty. Don't wait, STOP look at the bounty of spring!

For example these blooming branches of the pear trees!

Lanterns

Kaitlyn McQuaid created this floral combo with a great mix of greens and oranges! These roses are amazing they get as big as your fist! She also used the Chinese lanterns which lighten up this arrangement and give it great height.

Long Lasting Flower Arrangement

We are often asked to make longer lasting flower arrangements. We understand wanting to cheer someone up for a long time! Using floating succulents is one way in which we can help. After the arrangement is done these little guys will last for months on a countertop. They can also live longer if you re-plant them in soil. The best part is the limited care they need, you only have to water them once a month. Plus they are amazing with all these flowers and this really strong stone vase!

What is the First Flower of Spring?

The hellebores which bloom even if there is a snow cover.
We are so excited here at Marguerite Gardens to see the signs that spring will arrive in a few months! Ammie Brod designed this exquisite cluster of lilacs, deep pink hellebores, brunia, lysimachia and sumac! The brown vase is perfect for a bedside table or the bathroom, come see the other colors and designs!

Almost forgot to mention the new line we received this week, Further, an up-cycling company. This company uses recycled glycerin from cooking oils and the scent is of olive, bergamot and exotic grasses; trust us, you will love it!

bouquet of the week: pretty pastels

Paul made this bouquet of the week. The antique pitcher on it's own is gorgeous, but the subtle pastels in the flowers make it really sweet.

The President herself, Marguerite, made this gorgeous arrangement last week! I love the vibrant pinks and trick carnations!
